Oscar Shortlist Predictions

It’s been an informative week with Golden Globe and SAG nominations being announced, with plenty of shake-ups for the Oscar race. We won’t get confirmation of how it all plays out for almost another full month, but tomorrow, shortlists will be unveiled in a handful of categories. I won’t make predictions for the short film races or for Best Original Song, though I’ll do more research after they’re unveiled. Without commentary, I’m going to list what I believe will be included on the finalist lists for the following five categories. Once they’re announced, I’ll analyze what did and didn’t make the cut, and what that means for the Oscar race.
