Interview with Abe: Tahara

I had the chance to see “Tahara” as part of the virtual NewFest lineup in 2020, and I wrote my review along with two other films with plenty of Jewish content, “Shiva Baby” and “Minyan.” Now, nearly two and a half years after its premiere at the in-person Slamdance Film Festival in 2020, “Tahara” is finally arriving in theaters. I was fortunate to be able to speak with star Madeline Grey DeFreece, director Olivia Peace, and writer Jess Zeidman about the project and to add in my own personal connection to some of the film’s themes and ideas.
