Oscar Winner Predictions: Best Original Song

The competition: “Lost Stars” (Begin Again), “Grateful” (Beyond the Lights), “I’m Not Gonna Miss You” (Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me), “Everything Is Awesome” (The Lego Movie), “Glory” (Selma)

Previous winners: Let It Go (Frozen), Skyfall (Skyfall), Man or Muppet (The Muppets), We Belong Together (Toy Story 3), The Weary Kind (Crazy Heart), Jai Ho (Slumdog Millionaire), Falling Slowly (Once), I Need To Wake Up (An Inconvenient Truth)
My winner: Announcing shortly after the Oscars!
The facts: We’re back to five nominees, which is good, and the only import from the Golden Globes is the winner, “Glory.” In fact, only “Selma” is nominated elsewhere, and that’s just for Best Picture. Only Diane Warren, who is nominated for “Grateful,” has contended before, six times without a win.

Who should win: “Glory” or “Everything is Awesome,” but they’re all good
Who will win: I’ll give the edge to Glory over “Everything Is Awesome,” but anything could upset here.
