Golden Globe Nominees: Best Original Song

My predictions: 2/5, picking only one song from “Burlesque” and “Tangled” (and the wrong one from “Country Strong”)
Who’s missing: Songs from “Toy Story 3” and “How to Train Your Dragon”

So surprise Best Motion Picture – Comedy/Musical contender Burlesque scored with two nominations here, for “Bound to You” and “You Haven’t Seen the Last of Me.” I selected the wrong tune from Country Strong, which ended up being “Coming Home” instead of “Country Strong.” The selection of “I See the Light” from Tangled is fun, and then there’s the epic song from The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader by Carrie Underwood, “There’s A Place for Us.” I don’t profess to have much knowledge about this category, so I can’t offer much more commentary. Additionally, I’ve only seen one of the films so have only been able to experience the songs on YouTube.

Who could win? Probably Cher for crooning “You Haven’t Seen the Last of Me” from Burlesque.
What does this mean for the Oscar race? All these contenders are Oscar-eligible, I believe, so this gives them a bit of a boost.
