Golden Globe Nominees: Best Animated Film

My predictions: 5/5
Who’s missing: “Ponyo,” “9,” “Monsters vs. Aliens”

This is one of the two categories in which I correctly predicted all five nominees, along with Best Actress in a TV Series – Drama. I still have to rent Coraline on DVD and see The Princess and the Frog in theatres, but otherwise, I’m happy. While I’m sad that the real best animated film of the year, “9,” isn’t catching on, I do think that Up, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, and Fantastic Mr. Fox were all great, and all three are currently in my top twenty films of the year.

Who could win? I think it should be Up.
What does this mean for the Oscar race? All five of these films are eligible to compete at the Oscars, and all should have a very good shot there.
