AFT Awards: Best Original Score


This is the eleventh category of the 5th Annual AFT Film Awards to be announced. The AFT Awards are my own personal choices for the best in film of each year and the best in television of each season. The AFT Film Awards include the traditional Oscar categories and a number of additional specific honors. Nominees are pictured in the order I’ve ranked them. Honorable mentions (in alphabetical order):
The Adjustment Bureau, The Adventures of Tintin, Carnage, The Conspirator, The Debt, 5 Days of War, Hannah, Super 8, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, War Horse

The winner:
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close (Alexandre Desplat) utilized music to signal and echo its protagonist’s moods, ebbing and flowing with his adventure’s progress.
