SAG Nominees: Best Ensemble in a Motion Picture

My predictions: 3/5, missing “August: Osage County” and “Dallas Buyers Club”
What’s missing? Blue Jasmine, Saving Mr. Banks

I’m not surprised that August: Osage County made the cut, and it makes sense given the fact that there are many players involved who were put to good use. I do take issue with Dallas Buyers Club being here, since, aside from individually nominated actors Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto, none of the cast deserves recognition. The Butler got a big if expected boost here, joining the two frontrunners, 12 Years a Slave and American Hustle (the only film I haven’t seen nominated for any SAG Awards).

Who could win? My guess is American Hustle.
