Oscar Nominees: Best Documentary Short

My predictions: 3/5
The nominees: In the Absence, Learning to Skateboard in a Warzone (If You’re a Girl), Life Overtakes Me, St. Louis Superman, Walk Run Cha-Cha

I’m very disappointed that the best film on the shortlist, “The Nightcrawlers,” didn’t make the cut here. Fortunately, In the Absence, St. Louis Superman, and Learning to Skateboard in a Warzone (If You’re a Girl) did. I shouldn’t be surprised that Life Overtakes Me was included, and I guess there had to be room for something moderately positive like Walk Run Cha-Cha. I’ll analyze the chances for these films in my winner predictions.

My current bet to win: I think this goes to Learning to Skateboard in a Warzone (If You’re a Girl).
